So recently i managed to get a virus, After seeing the extent of the damage and promptly unplugging my ethernet cable and deciding upon a course of action…I think, maybe now is a good time to get to know Windows 7.
Although I have Windows 7 Build 7068, I only got the untouched professional version, and would rather use the 7057 Ultimate version. I’m hoping the RC1 build comes out soon. Rumors have had said that it will be a 707x build.
So i decided now would be as good a time as any to start fresh, so i formatted my 500gb host drive [was mostly \Program Files\ anyway, MSDN, Crysis, Burnout, CoD4, CoD5, WoW!, Visual Studio, stuff adds up!] and installed a copy of Windows 7 Build 7057 that i happened upon.
This was originally a post on my old blog, but my new blog feels rather empty. So…im mainly just reposting this for the Checksums and Hashes
Windows 7 Build 7057 Leaked, Screenshotted
Windows 7 being the new hotness that could make things spiffy for many
new (and some old) computers whenever it ships, every new build just
adds to the anticipation.
Making its way through the
intertubes as we speak is Windows 7 build 7057. Rejoice — Microsoft is
making progress! Deciphering the file name of the disc image indicates
that this build was compiled on March 5, 2009, reports Neowin.
Interestingly enough, the About Windows screen indicates that this
evaluation copy is good for a year, expiring in March 2010. Though run
this unfinished version of Windows 7 would be assured that the final
version, perhaps even for retail, will be available before the
evaluation license expires.
I’ll post some screens of this one, been using Build 7000 for some time. More Benchmarks? i think so.
